Frequently Asked Questions
SB90
Question
–What is SB90?
Answer
–California Senate Bill 90 of 1972 established a requirement that the
State reimburse local government agencies for the costs of new programs or
increased levels of service on programs mandated by the State. Claims are
filed with the State Controller each year by the ACO Reimbursed Programs Office
to report the eligible costs incurred by the County for State mandated
programs. The claims are audited by the State Controller, after which
