As your County Auditor-Controller, I serve as your 'fiscal overseer' on what the County of Riverside does with your money.

Independently elected by you, my Office provides you with sound checks and balances which serve as the foundation upon which good accountability to you rests.

The staff of the Auditor-Controller's Office proudly provides the County of Riverside with sound "customer oriented" professional fiscal leadership.

In order to meet the challenge of government - to provide increased services with diminishing resources - we are taking steps to implement and fully utilize advanced technology to help bridge this ever-growing gap.  Furthermore, we are moving aggressively to make the office more efficient and responsive to the taxpayer through the training of staff, professional certifications, and through a goal-oriented teamwork approach.

As your Auditor-Controller, I pledge to take the office to a new level of service, accountability, and professionalism.  We will achieve this goal by raising the bar to a higher standard and by providing more timely and more useful information to County management, while providing the citizens of Riverside County more information about the financial condition of the County.

Personal

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  I have had the privilege and honor of being married to the former Patricia Robinson for 24 years.  We have two children, a son Robert, 22 and a daughter Kailah, 14.  During my time-off, I enjoy music, sports, coin and stamp collecting, and working with advanced technology.  I also enjoy playing the trumpet and lead and bass guitars in a music ensemble, in which my wife is also a member.
